At
the base of the McDowell Mountain Preserve, McDowell Mountain Ranch consisting
of 26 distinct neighborhoods and almost 4,000
homes the residents of this community enjoy many amenities including 2 large community
centers with heated pools, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and tennis
courts.
Within walking distance of McDowell Mountain Ranch is the McDowell Mountain
Ranch Aquatic Park complete with a swimming pools, fountains, lazy river and
water slide. There is also an exercise room and a variety of classes such as
yoga taught at the center as well.

all skateboarders and in-line skaters. A skateboarders dream, the park has street-like components such
as tables, benches, planters and ledges designed to be used
by skateboarders and in-line skaters. Additionally, the skate park has a
deep 10-foot bowl.
If golf is what you're looking for then look no further than McDowell
Mountain Golf Club. Several MMR properties back to this gorgeous golf
course. In spring of 2011, Phil Mickelson and "Coach" Steve Loy acquired the
operating rights to McDowell Mountain Golf Club and took on a significant
golf course enhancement and renovation that was designed to make the course
more challenging for the better players, while at the same time making the
course more forgiving, enjoyable and fun for beginning golfers, families and
players of all abilities. This 18-hole, par 71 course covers 7,072 square
feet.
One of the most beautiful and challenging places to hike in North Scottsdale
is the McDowell Mountains which borders the community. The Scottsdale
McDowell Sonoran Preserve is a permanently protected 30,200-acre sustainable
desert habitat. The Preserve currently contains approximately 120 miles of
non-motorized, multi-use trails (hike/bike/horse) accessed from multiple
trailheads.
